Tennants Trains Halesowen
« on: February 03, 2013, 11:56:46 AM »
I visited Tennants Trains shop in Halesowen yesterday. A very unique shop to say the least!
Tennants is mainly second hand. As one would predict it has a small N Gauge section.
The look and feel of the shop is like a jumble sale, however i found this to be no problem at all as i whiled away 30 mins rooting through all the various cabinets.

At the rear of the shop they have a huge second hand railway book section with many interesting and rare titles in there.
The shop has all gauges in there from N to gauge 1!

The staff were very helpful and friendly and very welcoming.
Although i did not purchase anything i would visit the shop again.
Its a bit of a modellers Alladin Cave.
If you are in the area, do visit however i wouldnt make a special trip as some folk may be disappointed.

No contact details (sorry) but google Tennants Trains which will give you opening times.

Did you see Mr Tennant on the program about Welsh Narrowguage railways last night?
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

I think it was on BBC 4, but I only caught it by chance as I was channel hopping at the time.

The program was called "The Golden Age of Steam". It was at 20:00 on BBC HD on 2nd.
