Pond
« on: January 24, 2013, 04:52:50 PM »
Hi all. Can anyone tell me a simple way to make a small pond? I have refigured the freight yard on my main layout and have a small oval about 6"x3" between two tracks. I thought a pond might look good there, but I have never made one before. Any suggestions please? Mickey26

Hi Mickey,

There are a few proprietry items you can use to make ponds, however one I was and still am impressed with is Pengys' "sea on her layout St Clements.  It was done a while back and she has reported back since then there has been no shrinkage or yellowing.

Have a look at her pictures and you will see what I mean.
The actual "sea" pictures start at this post.
