Bridge sides
« on: May 25, 2019, 06:39:47 PM »
I've been looking for a pair of plate girder bridge sides which are longer than the ubiquitous Peco offering. An extensive trawl of the internet eventually came up with these:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/n-gauge-girder-sides/323658364514?hash=item4b5b8ab662:g:9cIAAOSwaeRZG0Rp

They are much longer than the Peco ones and are only £2! Two Pounds!! I ordered a couple and they are really decent quality for the price and exactly what I wanted. He does mainly 009 stuff but there are other N-gauge scenic offerings which are very reasonably priced and worth a look.

Usual caveats apply, but I'm very happy with the product and the service.

Cheers,

Chris

Ha! I might have known someone had got there first!

I read the ensuing discussion with interest and agree with njee's comments to a certain extent. I certainly wouldn't make a post about everything I bought but I thought it worth bringing this to people's attention because a) it's an unusual and potentially useful product, b) it is ridiculously cheap and I wanted to see what the quality was like, and c) I'd never come across this retailer before so I assumed others hadn't either. So I thought it worth sharing if only to bring another backwater cottage industry a bit of publicity and possibly help other forum members. That's all, folks!

Cheers,

Chris

I'm always happy to see someone post up links to items that may be of interest. Yes, most aren't to me, but you never know when one maybe and better to see 99 that aren't rather than not see the one that is really useful. Anyway, even those that are of no interest to most of us, may be to just 1 or 2.

To be fair, you read Railwayguns post because it was titled "3d girder Bridge sides on ebay" so you knew what the content was going to be about  ;) :)
