Grafar class 37
« on: May 22, 2019, 03:50:42 PM »
I have a Grafar class 37 in Regional railways livery that I bought listed for repair, it is early Chinese production? 37429 with a 6 digit item code.

I have stripped it down, separated the split frame chassis and removed the bogies, I found one split gear which I can replace (Ive seen several comments about split gears, one person said to change the whole axle as the axle has rims to keep the gear in place, others have said you can change just the gear, any advice on this).

The main issue I have is the Carden shaft, it was broken off and missing, can these be sourced from anywhere? I see BrLines has a complete boogie listed but not the individual bogie parts, also it was over-lubricated and has a very dirty worm, I can provide pictures if needed.

Gears can be replaced rather than buying complete axle but needs a gear puller and replacement gear.
BR lines do do supply gears only.
