RENFE double deck trains.
« on: February 22, 2019, 05:52:15 PM »
Double deck trains are not common in Spain  Even today there are vey few. The first double deck commuter trains of RENFE arrived in Spain by 1990, some two years after the order to GEC Alsthom. The 60 cars, 12 of them with driving cabin to allow the pull-push operation, and formed 12 trains that were assigned to the Greater Madrid and Greater Barcelona áreas as class 450. 15 locomotives of the 269.200 series was destinated to those trains and received a special livery according to te one of the cars.

Startrain repoduced the cars and Kato launched a special series of the locomotive, both in a not big number, by 2008.

I’m happy to share the images I got of this train running on the tracks of my layout. I hope you like it.

“We are indebted to those soldiers who served with courage and distinction to bring peace to Northern Ireland,” UK Defence Secretary Gavin Williamson said. “The welfare of our former service personnel is of the utmost importance.”
