Hi, I voted for Epoch IV too, which seems to be the most popular so far. Does this reflect the age range of N-Gauge forum participants? My layout is around 1978, when Blue/Beige was the new thing in DB, but still a lot of Blue and Green around too. I loved the Inter Rail I went on in 1976 and that was the time I was most closely linked with railways in general. Also at that time, you still had interesting international trains, which split and joined up at different places. Engine changes at the borders; the Ost-West Express from Paris/Ostend to Moscow & others. Now it's all multiple units.
Anyway, enough ranting! The era of high speed trains is certainly a challenge to model, but I'll leave it for others to do. That's the great thing about this hobby; there's room for all tastes.
