Hi @welshman26 and welcome aboard!

Hi welshman26, and welcome to the forum
Any chance you could negotiate the width to 2ft 6in (always helps with the curve radii)

Welcome aboard!

This comment below is absolutely spot on.  My layout is 4' x 2'6" and is (to me) pretty much the optimum size.

If you are new-ish to model railways please think about looking under 'NGF Links' for 'A Beginner's Guide to Model Railways' which is fantastic.

Best wishes.

John

Hi welshman26, and welcome to the forum

'Why does the Disney Castle work so well?  Because it borrows from reality without ever slipping into it.'

The Table-Top Railway is an attempt to create, in British 'N' gauge,  a 'semi-scenic' railway in the old-fashioned style, reminiscent of the layouts of the 1920s to the 1950s.

Hi welshman26 and welcome to the forum. My first layout was a 4' x 2' coffee table, so it can be done, but bigger is definitely better,
David.
I used to be indecisive - now I'm not - I don't think.
