Re: RAF vehicles, crew & buildings - Queen Mary trailer
« Reply #15 on: March 28, 2018, 07:29:40 PM »
I wonder if anyone reading this thread knows of a RAF Queen Mary trailer in N. I was in touch with someone who was planning the etches for such a vehicle but that was two computers ago and the link is lost!! TIA Brian

Gramodels have kits in stock soon

Dear Nicholas

Some time ago The friend who did the etch for me stopped!  Try as I might I couldn't get a response from him as to why.  However at Stevenage he put another 10 etches in my hand.  All I need to do now is to rebuild and mould the resin parts.

So How many do you want?

Regards

Graham

Not with my waistline these days.

Thanks for the Information, to those that are providing on this thread. Very useful for RAF Scarinish.

Drop GRAHAM a line at the email above and he be happy to help.I chased him, because I was sure I had seen one on his stand in the past! It turned out to be OO, but GRAHAM had obviously seen a niche!

His website needs updating, and the QM Is not listed yet, but itís strictly a cottage industry!

here are the 3 OD vehicles in RAF liveries so far, plus the BT Models Karrier,
The OD BSA motorbike and side car are not yet available in RAF livery

It might be worth painting up one of Osborns Models' Green Godesses too?

Arrowhead miniatures, scale 1:144 vehicles and figures, very nice castings.
https://arrowheadminiatures.co.uk/

Miniature Figurines 10-12mm range vehicles, figures etc scale can be dodgy
http://www.miniaturefigurines.co.uk/Home.aspx

Matador Models scale 1:144 scale can be a bit off,  WW2 RAF vehicles mainly
http://www.matadormodels.co.uk/catalogue.htm#AA

BT do a Karrier light lorry

 and

https://www.pg-models.co.uk

have a large selection of airfield vehicles

https://pendraken.co.uk

have some useful figures

https://arrowheadminiatures.co.uk/collections/world-war-2/products/bf100-raf-personnel-set  ( inc Douglas Baderís dog, which shall remain nameless)

In think you mean Wing Commander Guy Penrose Gibson, VC, DSO & Bar, DFC & Bar, since it was his dog that was named in what is today not thought very PC..

As for getting into my  blues for scanning, no chance,  on October 26th this year I'll have been out  30 years. My waist line is somewhat larger than back then..

It would help if we knew what period was being modelled, landrovers would be ok from the 1950s  even though there is one in the Dambusters film it's not correct. Make sure you don't get the wrong model too early though...

Sorry old chap, don't understand the banter! :dunce:

Guy Gibson had a pet black Labrador that stayed on the RAF base, it was called
N (the n word) and its name was code that one of the dams had been busted.

Now all together    DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DA
DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DA
