Any chance of weathered EWS to go with nice shiney DBS ones so that I can run both in one rake? Shiney EWS and DBS wont look right together.

Definitely in for 4 VTG/Mendip Rail. Trying (hoping) to justify a few EWS Construction and DB Schenker too. The triple pack of the latter sounds particularly attractive.

A nice choice. Will anyone try to produce one of those 'wagon maps' that were prepared for the tank wagon? Brian

Hello Brian,

Yes, but these wagons are so widely travelled it's proving problematic.  Not in terms of the origins and destinations, but in terms of which routes they take between them.

Cheers

Ben A.

I was thinking some consists, maybe with the originating quarry.
I've been looking at pics of Peak Forest but they mainly focus on the loco's not the wagons.

Regards,

John P

As long as someone can prove that they travelled over the S&C I'm in!! Brian

Morning all,

Question for those that know - I realise they run in block trains (sometimes with other wagon types) but how many wagons would make up a train, i.e. shortest length train upto the longest?

As I am sure Revolution know, but for those that don't, there are pdf maps etc. on network rail site of terminals etc. This may allow you to get some idea of routes until a map is done on Revolution trains site. Can't post link as on phone but Google hoa aggregate train and scroll down.

Thanks

Stuart

I hope so. The map produced for the TEAs helped me to commit to a larger order than I otherwise might have. Sure I could do the work of researching which liveries would fit with my geographical area of interest. But not on a maybe, if a model is a certainty for production then yes I'll put my time into researching it. Cruel but true. Once confirmed, I might have missed early-bird pricing and that might limit the size of my order.

So Ben and Mike, I see these maps as an essential part of your marketing arsenal. Maps will help me (and others I'm sure) to commit earlier and commit to larger numbers than I (we) otherwise might.

I hope I've managed to convey the supportive tone that I intended here. I will definitely be supporting this model.

Here's a link to that site

The documents relating to aggregates are the ones sized 565kb and 115kb, map and table respectively.

It's funny, really, and I suspect I am not alone. The map is a great help for me because I don't have any expertise, and the idea of randomly searching Google and coming to inexpert and likely incorrect or incomplete assumptions is a daunting prospect. Better by far is to see what the experts say and then choose what fits best. In the end, knowing some facts means I can either choose to be accurate or just choose the pretty coloured livery. But it is important to know what's what before deciding. So, yes, I agree that the map and details of what liveries ran together and when is important, and all part of the fun and involvement that I think RevolutioN has brought to the process.

Not sure I can justify an entire rake of these, but looks like they run in part with the ex-RMC JGAs, of which I have a rake, so a couple seems fair!

Oh dear, if I'm reading those linked docs correctly, I might be in for some Ermewa/Tarmac liveried in addition to VTG/Mendip Rail.

With all the excitement and preparations for Warley I haven't had time to finish the expressions of interest form, but I will try to get it up tonight (and let everyone know when done).

We've got some example train consists and will put this on our site as well.

Cheers, Mike

I know a very frequent flow is between Stoke and Warrington Arpley these are mainly single wagons in a rake of wagons that have been for repair but these are then put onto services which operate around the North West
