The links you use are far too long and get corrupted, please see if there is a shorted link available from Google to use.

Ok, lets try again with the photos, if this one works (the first update that had issues) then you're up to date.

Hi all,

Not been as much action in Milliedale on Sea as I'd hoped due to various other demands on my time, but you're not here to hear about that, so,

Been some more work done on buildings for the layout, working on the buildings that will form the street in front of the marshalling yard including the Vicarage:

The Rev Wilbert likes having a door from his study directly into his garden, it allows him to come and go pondering his sermons without being distracted, the other door of course being the kitchen door.

Next to be made out of the Metcalfe kit was a pair of cottages, one of which will be a pub, but will it be the famed 'Old Cobblers' ?

You'll have to wait and see  :laugh3:

I really should read the instructions when building kits  :D

I've also been acquiring tools to make the raised section as accurate as possible

So, hopefully some track soon.........

Finished, except for the chimney pots.

 :beers:

If all the photos above are working could you give a thumbs up, or thumbs down if not working (I won't take it personally)

That way we avoid a couple of pages of working, not working, working etc to trip through trying to get it working  :D

I can see the first 5 but not the 6th.
If it looks right then it most probably is right.

Been spending a bit of time sorting this out, we're not entirely sure what it is, some sort of newfangled signalling equipment apparently, but it's now working, so no excuses for electronics.

But then again, there's been few excuses for woodwork yet not much progress!

I've not been that motivated to build models at lunch for a while, I think it's due to nowhere to put them so need to get started on progressing the baseboards (and the aforementioned electronics) along with the age old coupling question - I do have some of Belstone's coupling design to test, I've just not had chance, however...

Some of the issues I've mentioned previously are starting to show fruit of being resolved which should hopefully free up a bit of time to build - but the main hotel in Milliedale-on-Sea is getting out the best silverware and bed linen for the first guests of the season (the in-laws) coming to visit later this week.

ah well, two steps forwards and then jog on the spot for a bit :D
