Title: Layout Wiring Diagram
Post by: TrevL on December 05, 2018, 12:02:20 PM
I'm just in the throws of wiring up my layout and point control panel (cab?).
Knowing that I need to make a wiring diagram for future use/fault diagnosis, can anyone point my in the direction of a PC program which will allow me to draw out said diagram please?  I realise I can take pen to paper, but any additions/alterations would need me to draw the whole thing again, rather than just edit it.
Any help would be gratefully received.

I use an old copy of Visio to mark out trackwork and feeds, number the feeds on the diagram then use Excel to create a master list of plug and socket pinouts with the wire colours etc.

There's an online program we use in the office called DrawIO, very similar to Visio.

Like @ntpntpntp (https://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?action=profile;u=5885) , I use Excel for a wiring schedule but PowerPoint for schematics
