Title: J94 austerity
Post by: Duke62 on July 20, 2019, 09:05:36 AM
I'm in the process of super detailing a j94 does anybody know if any of the current graham farish  loco wheels will fit as I want to use the rp25 profile  otherwise I'm going to have to remove  the current wheels  and reprofile them

I am pretty sure from memory the later Bachmann release has wheels with finer RP25 flanges and they are blackened too. I did have a lovely BR Black one but very foolishly sold it when the DJM model was announced  - I won't make a similar mistake in the future!

I have two Poole Farish models, and they are still two of my favourites.

Even though the sparks from the motor in one of them is sorta like having a live fireman in the cab!

A phone call to BR Lines will give you the answer-and if they are available.

Personally I find the newer finer-flanged wheels on those old tooling models actually make the wheels look even more under-scale and really odd on some of the models.
