Post by: bkrenderman on January 23, 2019, 08:50:40 PM
Hi, I am starting this new series where I will be showing how to design the bridge structure in 3d software like 3dsmax and then get it all 3d printed and weathered and used in the model railroad diorama. let me know your suggestion and thoughts or anything you like to add to this series.

Very well done... interesting to the process from start to finish.

About 15 years ago I decided to teach myself 3d modelling using Lightwave 3d. Got pretty good at the modelling part, but never mastered textures and texture-mapping and eventually drifted away from it. Given how long it took me to 'git gud' at one software package, I don't think I have enough years left to start over  :worried:. I think I'll leave that to you younger fellas - I have enough trouble making my fingers work at 2mm scale
