Lightweight Landie, awesome but not sure about the Churchill as a choice am I right in thinking they are too large to go on railway wagons?

Best wishes

The Churchill was designed to fit onto British loading gauge, which is why it's so narrow looking.  Originally the designers wanted it to be wider with a much bigger turret and armament.

And the Humber armoured car is due RSN!

I can't see a Humber armoured car mentioned among these releases.   Am I missing something?

I have an interest in this as the Humber "Pig" is among the 4 military vehicle kits the NGS has commissioned from PG models.

Cheers

It is the Ferret scout car in the OD range.

Line drawings now online:-

The Borismaster is the pink rather than yellow Propercorn livery.

Photos were shown of real unpainted pieces from the moulds; these are on the members-only Facebook groups for Oxford Diecast Collectors.

If I remember correctly, the Churchill was the last MBT able to be carried on Warflats, I think it was replaced by the Centurion and then the Chieftain, both of which were to wide for British loading gauge. In between the Churchill and the Centurion came the Comet and Cromwell, both of which would've been carried on Warflats, so in fact the Cromwell & Comets would've been the last MBT's to have been carried on Rail in the UK.

The Centurion started coming into service right at the end of WW2, but I don't think saw active service on WW2.

Sorry I digressed a bit there  :D :D :D

Cheers

Very nice.

However if you are going to put it on your Warflats, then you'll have to remove all the gubbins on the sides of the vehicle, a la @Railwaygun (http://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?action=profile;u=941) photo from the other day, otherwise they'll be out of gauge and rip the side of your Platforms off  ;) ;)

Oooh I drove a some of those, The real RAF Mini that is, not the box.

A mate of mine crashed  a new raf mini and they were lining him up for a court Marshall....

When...

A WRAF officer published a warning in the station news letter that we all should drive more carefully..

When...

The next day she crashed the other new one...

Then....

They actually  believed my mate and checked the brakes..

And

Found one front disc on each mini had jammed on...

So

His nearly getting court Marshalled was quietly swept under the carpet....

PS I must pick up a couple of those for the Layout, the mini that is not the box...

Very nice models although I wonder why they chose the Churchill tank - not the most attractive one. 😉

I have one of the AEC Matadors in Highland livery and it is stunning.

Many thanks
