Title: Minitrix oil OK
Post by: keithfre on December 11, 2012, 03:34:09 PM
I have a small plastic bottle of Minitrix oil I picked up along the way. Is it OK for modern Dapol and GraFar locos?

So long as it's light (thin), synthetic (not mineral based) and plastic friendly, then probably yes.

I don't feel qualified to judge those points, so I'm hoping someone has experience of it.

Yep, certainly someone else will need to have experience of it if you can't tell, as you do have the benefit over the rest of us in being able to see the oil and read the label and instructions. Are there no clues there?

Well I would do if I could find it! I know it's in a cupboard somewhere... I seem to remember though that there was nothing on the label and no instructions with it.

Now if someone has used it and found it good it would be worth turning the cupboards inside out ;-}
