Title: Christmas radio ad
Post by: galway on November 29, 2012, 07:53:19 PM
This is an advert that gets played each December on the radio over here http://blog.teadog.com/2011/12/22/barrys-tea-christmas- (http://blog.teadog.com/2011/12/22/barrys-tea-christmas-)

It certainly gets my thumbs up  , actually brings back memories of when I got my first train set (1968)

Its one of those things you associate with Christmas, and if the debates on the radio stations are anything to go by - people wait in anticipation to hear it

A train set and good tea - life doesn't get any better than that!

Wonderfully evocative!

Thanks for sharing... Gave me goosebumps and brought my first train set right back to me...my dad on the floor of the front room, cursing as he set it up (he hated trains!!  Bad experience in the army waiting for hours and hours at Crewe!)
Then plugging it into the 12dc uncontrolled socket by accident and watching a little n scale Lima 31 go wizzing off the rails at the first bend!

Thanks again.. Haven't thought of this in years :)
