Title: Bachmann Club Membership
Post by: GWR-Kris on November 29, 2012, 10:17:50 AM
Is anyone a member and how does it compare to the Dapol one. Does Bachmann do open days etc and NQP locos?

Am in both ... and am probably not renewing the Dapol one ... we'll see ...

Bachmann do open days (of a sort), but not been to any member events so can't comment there.  The magazine is much better, as is the member wagon.  They do member-only locos too sometimes.

To my mind, it's the best of the three clubs (Hornby being the third).

Depends on what you consider 'really good' to be  :D

In OO, 504 edition to the Club for the Class 85 85101 'Doncaster Plant 150', £112.45, and the JJA Mk2 Auto-ballaster Generator Unit in GE Promotional, £37.75, both shown on the front cover & documented inside.

Free entrance to the TCS show @ Sandy; discount to the Midland RailEx.  Also announced the Club day @ the GCR.

Looking at the Summer mag (where the above is from), it's 72 pages and produced to the same quality as their catalogues.  Contents are :
