Title: Electrically Conductive Paint
Post by: Tank on May 02, 2011, 10:57:30 AM
Electrically Conductive Paint -eBay link. (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Electrically-Conductive-Paint-Wire-Glue-Paint-3-OZ-/230613513315?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35b1a2f463)

Has anyone tried this?  I might buy a pot and test it out on my MOD layout, as although it's DCC I decided to use up some of my insulfrog points.

This advert worries me slightly as it dosn`t offer a 'buy now' option but only chance of bidding for a pot

It was more of a reference than trying to get people to buy it. 8)  Also, it was a BIN, but once people bid on it, it turns into an auction.

I'm thinking this may come in useful for lighting building interiors as opposed to the copper tape, let us know how you get on Tank

You can get it in pen form from Maplins and other electronics shops I think. My brother's used it for 'drawing' circuits before.

in fact (having actually looked ;) )

Did you end up buying and trying some of this and if so did it do 'what it says on the tin' ?

Funnily enough it arrived from the USA today!  I'll test it out at the weekend and I'll let you know if it's any good.

I have a little bottle of this, from memory I bought it to save me having to solder across two small pin joins on a circuit board in order to modify a Pioneer DVD player to multi region. It worked well and is still doing the job more then 5 years later  :)

Greetings all,

I don't know whether or not you have access to Walther's in England, but I know they sell it; check their catalog, it is made by one of the German companies- Vollmer, I think???

All the best,
