John.
Must admit I took it as deliberately using dialect sounds.
Here's a humble one from me to Glenn.
Very sorry - I thought it was a predictive text issue :sorrysign:
Didn't realise it was meant to be 'purchase', thought it may be a nickname for the loco that I hadn't heard of, hence the confused smiley.
Paul
Toot Toot! I thought it was predictive text... That's why a lot of my posts are confusing :D
I really get pi--d off when people pick on people that make the occasional spelling mistakes :veryangry:
As for spell checkers, even though the Linux OS that I use has its home base in Ireland it has an American Spell Checker and I use it because I couldn't give a damn if its right or wrong.

Great new purchase mate, was one of the locos Id love to get for Delfryn but just for 'charter services'
Is she a good runner?
I'd like to think that the comments were a light-hearted response to the amusing images conjured - interesting how some people assumed birds, and others fish - rather than any attempt at "having a go". I certainly didn't intend any insult.
I guess a lot depends on how a the person that made the spelling mistake takes it.
We all have to watch what we say when taking the mickey out of someone or something
It all comes down to forum etiquette, what can be considered a joke to some may be considered an insult to others.
I think its best to let spelling mistakes slide by without comment as we all make mistakes from time to time.
Living in Oz for 55 years I have learned to take a joke and believe me if there was one nationality that knows how to throw s--t it is the Aussies, we give and take it with a laugh, when it comes to forums we have to watch our Ps and Qs big time.
