I've got some of the interiors for the older style BachFar mk.2s, and I wondered what peoples opinions were on whether to paint them or leave them grey as they come.
the carriages will not be lit, still deciding on whether to add figures.
if paint them, any suggestions on the colours for mk.2s in Scotland in late 80s ?
thanks in advance
alan
Id say paint them, shouldnt take too long or much paint, youll know they are done, and if in the future you decide to light the carriages its one less job to do.
Colour wise I would say a navy blue, maybe dry brushed with a lighter blue? Im not sure if this is correct but I cant see it being too far off :-[
cheers for that, so blue for the upholstery, but leave the tables 'formica' grey ?
alan
O yeh, forgot the tables ;D, Grey sounds reasonable for them, maybe dry brush a bit of white/lighter grey on them as a highlight?
and the floor could be painted black, if you feel its needed?
sounds like that's this evening taken care of :smiley-laughing:
cheers

Too true haha, would be be quite a task to add something so small though O.o
Beer can - Plastic rod 20 thou." about 3/4mm high :beers:
Don't forget the little whisky miniatures bought from the
snacks trolley! I can recall being on one of those trains travelling from
Aberdeen to Glasgow with dozens of beer cans rolling about on the floor.
And to confirm the tables were a sort of grubby pale grey , or was it beige? :confused2:
Most would have had the 1980s InterCity refurb by then, so strawberry red upholstery and creamy beige table tops.
beer cans,
whisky minatures
sandwich wrappers
papers
methinks there will be no room for passengers :laugh3:
thanks for all the input and info.

that's no problem, Bachmann do them. :laugh3:
These were from "oil rig workers " travelling from Aberdeen
as they said , now there is a booze curfew on Scotrail
trains, presumably includes trolley service which I
must say are manned by friendly and efficient staff.
