Title: Class 37 Facelift
Post by: Mustermark on April 20, 2011, 03:19:39 AM
I recently received a Class 37 from Claude Dreyfus from his sale of unwanted stock.  I have given it a little facelift by removing the nose ends and stripping the paint, repainting, adding headcode decals and replacing.

I also renumbered it to partner my 37 238 as 37 239.  Both were based at Cardiff Canton.  I will see how she runs when I get track built and then decide if she's going to be a runner or a dummy in a 37 double header on freight duty.

Thanks Nick - she's a nice addition.

The Class 33 I also got from Nick got renumbered as 33 044 which I remember being hauled by from Reading to Basingstoke in about 1974, so she will haul my 4-TC.  Lovely little locos also often seen in Reading in pairs, so she could also go with my 33 012.
