Why do dogs sleep in such weird positions?

Last time I did that the ex wife's mum walked in :-[ :-X
Mine sleeps like that quite a lot but it always makes him sneeze. ;D
The other one spends most of her time that way up, not really sure why she even has legs.
Take one Godson and one German Shepherd both sound asleep.
Kim (the dog) is not allowed on the beds and he knows it :D

cheers John.
My mum's dog, a king charles spaniel, nearly always sleeps like that.
Trouble is, when he does he snores.
VERY LOUDLY!

Kai is 9y/o and average height, the beast greets me by placing his paws on my shoulders and soaking my face and I am 5' 11.5", so yes he is a big but very gentle beast ;)

It's not just dogs, here's my cat Bruce
(http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm163/footyfish_photos/IMG_4951.jpg)
And his sister Buki in what we call the broken leg position
(http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm163/footyfish_photos/Oct107.jpg)
Used to have a cat that would creep into next door's car on a hot day (window left open) and sleep on the back seet.
Had a call from the neighbour one day to say he was 50 miles away and had just discovered our cat!!
I'm often evicting Bruce from both my car and van, he will sleep absolutely anywhere! Only once have I driven off with him in the back, he made himself known just before I got to the recycling centre but obviously knew where we were as what is just around the corner from there? Yes, the vet! Being a regular visitor to the vet especially as he has asthma I think he knew exactly where he was but was unusually not in a cat box at the time.
It's not just cats and dogs that sleep in very strange positions (or places). I too have slept in many strange positions and (ahem) places. I fear that photos of these will result in an instant ban if posted, so I shall spare you all......
Suffice to say these positions and random locations are only achieved after the consumption of much beer and or wine...........(.hiccup/slurrrr) :beers:
Lovely to see pics of members pets  here is my little girl when she was the same length as a desert spoon.

That's it! If your dessert spoons are that big I'm emigrating!

Liked the cat & dog pictures , my dog sleeps upside down half the time.
Also dreams a lot, twitching, yelping , whining and tail wagging.
PS Mrs Scruff very attractive lady. Maybe have a readers' wives
section, in the best possible taste of course.
The thanks above were from Mrs Scruff! ROFLMAO :laugh3:
She's not too keen on the other bit though! :D :help:

Oh well, you can't always get what you want as Sir Michael Jagger used to sing. :'(
