Hi Darren,

I do vinyl side and end overlays for the Network Rail DBSOs - either 9703, or 9714, with the extra vents for the generator.

You just need to remove the end gangway and  strip the finish off the Farish Mk2 (instructions provided) and place the vinyls over the top.

Sorry to resurrect a dead thread an all, but I was wondering does it need to be a MK2f BSO carriage for the vinyls, or can we use a different Mk2 coach? I ask because Mk2F BSOs are gold dust about now an bachmann have retracfed their pre-emptive rrp for the DBSO which sounds like they aren't gonna release it anytime soon :D

I have several Blue / Grey and ScotRail livery DBSO
These have been converted from Mark 2 TSO and Electra Vinyls

I prefer using the older Poole INTERCITY coaches, as the paint comes off much easier and less chance of damaging the plastic (using Nail Varnish Remover)

Personally, I would now wait for the Farish Mark 2F DBSO to be released as this will be more detailed
The Electra Vinyls are fine but there is no depth to the modified parts
