After my impatience yesterday and initial panic (the thread has now been deleted) My WD arrived from Modeller's Mecca. In fact two arrived. The original and the replacement for the one lost in the postal system. Firstly I would like to apologise and thank Modeller's Mecca for their swift attention to this matter and secondly I would like to say what an amazing model this is. I have only just lifted it from the box and it is now test running but I must say that in terms of finish and quiet running, it makes mincemeat out of certain other recent releases in N gauge. The detail is also stunningly fine on this engine. I hadn't seen one in the flesh up until now and it really is something else. I am please to say that it doesn't whine or screech or ride up over points like my A4s which were swiftly returned, but runs like nothing else in British steam outline. I have heard the pulling power isn't amazing, but I will only be running relatively short goods trains behind it anyway.
So two big cheers for Farish and Modeller's Mecca who to my knowledge are the cheapest suppliers of this loco out there!

i actually found it amusing the original thread was allowed after my previous experience for a similar thread :hmmm: mine was removed sharpish and i still await a satisfactory outcome >:( i just pity anyone else who has had the misfortune of dealing with him without seeing my warning.glad you got sorted elvinley as lucy is a gem in the modelling world :thumbsup:

Cheers, yes she was very helpful on the phone earlier today. I will buy from them again (I have in the past - also I used to live in the Black Country so visited the shop many, many moons ago).

I ordered a graham farish DP1 from modellers mecca on Wednesday, came today and they even up graded it to recorded delivery for free! All looks ok :D will be using you guys again :)
