Title: SECR liveried locos
Post by: Newportnobby on May 22, 2026, 10:22:17 AM
A huge thanks go to @Train Waiting as John saw my sadness at obtaining a Terrier in SECR livery only for it not to work on arrival. He PM'd me then and there and stated he had one I could have. Not only that, he also promised me a Wainwright C class in SECR livery that had a different running number to the one I purchased from Farish's recent release. Sure enough, both locos arrived yesterday, run extremely well and, of course, look lovely. The aforementioned gentleman refused any money so the forum will benefit instead

THANK YOU, JOHN

I am now in a position to recreate the cover pic of NGS Journal 5/25 except the leading C class in that pic has a golden dome whereas my two are plain green. Was the C class ever released with that golden dome or was that a DIY job?

Mine is the original release Nobby and the dome is green. As far as I'm aware, that and the recent one are the only two released in that livery

Polished domes were part of Wainwrights elaborate livery. When it was simplified as Farish have reproduced the domes were painted over.
