Not buying more Graham Farish Class 37s back when I got my Dutch.
Can't find any new anywhere, and of course there aren't many in the USA 2nd-hand.
Incredibly good looking locomotive. Would really like one with a good sound fitting.

How about using the Wanted section, instead of starting up a new topic?

Why can't one start a Lament?
.....not winning the Euromillions lottery jackpot
.....not having my wicked way with Liz Hurley
.....not letting someone else build my layout for me
.....marrying twice and not liking either
Jeez, where d'you want me to stop? ::)
If a class 20 is viable for sound then a class 37 surely is. Just a case of when, the lack of models available suggests its in the works. It must be 3 or 4 years since the last run, just a shame it wasn't done before the cut back in production - see the way 90's and 47's flooded the market.

@DELTICNAPIER does a terrific job of fitting DCC sound to Farish 37s. He often lists them for sale on eBay but if you already have a favourite then he'll convert that for you.

I do actually have a sound fitted Farish 37, a conversion that was worked on a couple of times by different people. It now has a Jamie Goodman sound file in it, and it sounds lovely, but I'd still like another in early BR green with split headcode boxes.
I think it is a pretty fair bet that either a chassis "upgrade" or a full retool are in the works somewhere as far as the Farish 37 is concerned. To be honest, I am slightly surprised that it was the 20 upgrade that was recently announced rather than one. Maybe they are saving it for TINGS (well here's hoping).

He surely does. My dilemma: lack of unlimited funds. Nearly $500 to get one of those to show up on my doorstep.
They do sound awesome, though.
One of the Clacton area group has a sound 37 with a file by Kevin at Coastal dcc.
Don't know how much it cost him, but about the best diesel sounds I've heard.

Scott, there's still time to join the eejits duking it out for this one:

I find it really surprising that Farish did the 60 (and now the 20) before the 37 got an upgrade. It's a decent model IMO, but crying out for a sound option.

Because it leads to bagpipes...

We're talking about 37s, not 33/1s, surely? ;)
