Title: My First Weathering Attempt
Post by: Model-Railway-2013 on July 21, 2012, 03:45:09 PM
After trying my hand at weathering with a brush, I decided that I did not like the results. So I had a search for an airbrush. I did not want to spend a great deal of money on this, as I was not to sure if I would be any good at airbrushing.

My search took me to ebay where I found this ( no connection to the seller)
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/110865648946?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/110865648946?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649)

Quick look up on google about weathering, I decided I would use acrylics and thin them down with wendex.

And so I begun. The pictures show my very first attempts with an airbrush.

I may have gone a little over board with them, but it's all practice in the end

Looks very good to me - was the airbrush easy to use?

I have found it rather easy to use, I thought it would be more difficult.
All you have to do is ensure that it is kept clean. I use the wendex neat to clean it with water.

For a first attempt I think that's damned good
If I may ask, where did you source your coach connections please?
