Title: Rolling Road
Post by: Platothedog on March 24, 2026, 05:18:10 PM
I've been playing around with a rolling road from Aliexpress and not having much luck with it. The locos will run but not well enough, stop and starts or hesitant running. This is the complete opposite from the 00 gauge version from Aliexpress which is trouble free. Anyone with one of these that have experienced similar problems.  :-X

Yeah bought one on eBay, renewed the ends and it's still a bummer! Think the rods (alloy?) are not good conductors and of course they can get a dirt/oxide layer form on them. Wonder if a polish followed by a coating of track maintenance spray would increase the conductivity?
Because we have only small wheels and 9mm of spacing any bowing of the contact rails is likely to break the circuit, as is poorly set back-to-back of the wheels. I've a few hesitant runners to sort and will give the 'above' a go before I try them on the RR.
glad to share any thoughts you might have :hmmm:
