I guess (hope) that's using something Powerbase strips under the track and lots of magnets to hold the stock down very firmly.

It's not actually running on the track, there are no wheels fitted, so it's obviously just on some rotating mechanism.

Minitrix did make a 'hat' in the 1960s for promotional use, which had a train running around the 'rim'. One of these was on show at TINGS in 2025. There's a similar one in my kitchen that I built last year...

I did run a tram around my red hat long ago and it kind of works but not if you wear it. Possibly T scale would because everything is magnetised so the tiny trains can get enough traction
