Yes a great idea, but it won't be Mick @Newportnobby doing the merging cos he's been wanting a baby deltic for years, and he'll be partying. I only hope his pacemaker keeps going  :smiley-laughing:

V2 60800 Green Arrow in BR green is a "must have" for me so I logged on to the "Collectors Club" part of the Bachmann site with great excitement to buy one, only to find that the sound fitted ones show "sold out". I am assuming that they are actually not in stock yet in reality, but am querying.

I was going to say nothing for me here.

I have never seen any evidence of them on southern metals (despite having evidence for classes 15/16 from Stratford and 24/25/27 from Willesden)

But I'm still thinking about it. Might wait for the EFE cut price sale, as they did with class 41s earlier this year.

The class 23 is a bit niche but I hope it sells well.
Seems I've morphed into ordering virtually anything I remember from my spotting days.
Even the one Napier engine sounded awesome leaving Kings Cross and heading into Gasworks Tunnel :heart2:

Oh dear. Snap. I weakened in less than 3 1/2 hours and ordered D5905, based on longevity of use in my favourite livery.
I used to like going to Finsbury Park and wandering down to the Sheds. Usually lots of Deltics on shed, and Pullman "Doris" by the station.

Who's going to build a model of Finsbury Park shed or Stratford works to park their failed baby Deltic in?

Seriously, I hope it does well, as it seems to have had a lot of requests or suggestions.

I seem to recall Finsbury Park was a fairly modern, clean depot with raised platforms at loco door level, whereas Stratford was a large, rambling, clinker open space with a few old sheds

I was tempted by the 2-car Green Class 101 until I realised it was the Power-Twin version. Hopefully they will announce a 3-car version in the near future to add to my existing model.

The only thing for me from this announcement is the Era-5 Post Office Sorting Van.

Think my wallet is mostly safe except for the mail coaches.

Got a perfectly good kit built baby deltic and no reasonable excuse to run it either.

 :offtopicsign:

Both Fin Park and Stratford diesel depot were newbuilds.

The cl 23s stood outside the works, a different place.
