It seems that the new batch of GF Class 150s are imminent as Rails of Sheffield have today charged me for my GWR liveried pre-ordered model.
I must admit that I had forgotten that I'd ordered it so it'll be a nice little present to myself when it eventually arrives.
A nice surprise
Having received an email from Rails of Sheffield yesterday afternoon stating that the GWR liveried Class 150 that I had ordered several months ago was ready for despatch, I was surprised to have it delivered before lunch today by Mr Postie.
Excellent service from the oft maligned RoS.
Here she is on the sea wall stretching her wheels with a spot of "running in".
A nice addition to my growing modern image fleet which fits in well as they are so common on the sea wall :

The loco runs well straight from the box. Now, do I fit the little show ploughs or no? Several of the real life units that we see on a daily basis are so fitted.
150232 has snow ploughs fitted, but they should be yellow:

If you're not going to run it combined with another set take the cab end couplings off. It'll look a lot better - you m8ght find some dummy scale couplings in with the detailing parts which are better still.
:hellosign:
Yes Martin looking superb on the Sea Wall.
Agreed ROS have always given me excellent service
:beers: stay safe regards Derek
