Last time I was in London Mayfair I saw this Rolls Royce and I immediately thought that it was out of scale with the other cars on the street.
FWIW I don't want one. I think it is hideously ugly and vulgar. And it's in OO.

I like the way it is taller than the van parked behind. Why would anyone want to driven in something that size in London while struggling to find a parking space that it fits in?
We seem to be in something of a boom time for uglification consultants in the motor industry.

If you can afford one of those, you can afford to park it wherever you want, whether there's a space there or not.
If I had paid the price of a house for a car I would be very careful where I parked it
And of course it has a personalised numberplate: B1ACK
Not as good as the soft top BMW I saw driven by a blonde which was M1LPH (mother I'd like to phone home) :laugh3:
81 ACK
Oh very eagle eyed. Well done that man!
Best plate on a Roller was Paul Raymond's FU2

Surely the best personalised Roller is FAB1...
Since when did Rolls Royce rip of Range Rovers? That's the ugliest Roller I have ever seen.
Ooh I'm considering a new big car as the trusty old Sorento is 14 years old now. I could easily get my layout or my gigging drum kit in the back of that :)
At one time prestige cars such as Rolls Royce had understated elegance. Nowadays they have overstated arrogance. This change also applies to many of their customers.

Many years ago when on a business trip to Manchester, I was passed on the M62 by a blond lass in a BMW convertible with the number plate M1 NGE and she'd pushed it all together. Brazen, or what?
(Hope I don't get banned for this :worried: )

Fiona Richmond had a yellow E-type with the FU2 plate. I used to see it regularly in the Kings Road back in the early 1970s.

Best one I saw was MR51NGH - and, yes, the driver was wearing a turban.
The most apt I recall was the young tearaway in an Escort Mexico - APR1K.

Sorry Carl.
My memory failed me. Paul Raymond's pink Roller was BS1. But these plates do move around a bit, and it is now on a blue Roller. That's why I got confused. See the full history here: https://www.tiktok.com/@numberplatehistory/video/7455008081546726688
I've also seen a Range Rover with the reg GUM 800T
best ive seen is OGO2L--it was on a jag then--i know its been on others.
I think Charles Rolls and Sir Henry Royce would be utterly ashamed that their names were on such a monstrosity. No grace, no elegance, just a boring SUV on steroids, but then elegant cars are a thing of the past now. Bring back classics like Duesenberg and Delage and Delahaye...
Cheers,
Chris
At one time, the Number plate PEN 15 was fitted to a mobility scooter ( one of those light blue things ) that had installed a full race motorcycle engine. It was owned by an ex motorcycle racer.
I did see the plate later fitted to a Porsche.
Most prestige big saloons / 4X4 these days seem to have the styling of a brick.
I believe that person was Steve Parrish who, after closing his motorcycle racer career, went on to race trucks
A couple local to me are X1, on a Mini, and J11MNY on a Jimny, obviously.
A woman in Borehamwood in the 80's had a Porsche with the number plate ON P1L........equally brazen!
Dave
Not brazen like some of the above, but CRAPI on an old Ford Capri over here in NZ I thought quite witty.
PURR on a Jaguar also quite apt.
