Title: Class 73 Sir Herbert Walker
Post by: ianwales on September 24, 2025, 11:47:56 PM
Hi

Can anyone recall an article on detailing the gaugemaster Green class 73 to represent 73003 Sir Herbert Walker possibly in the NGS journal?

Not mentioned in the index for the NGS journal, sorry.

Ian

I have a feeling that the earlier Signal Box special edition 73003 is a better green for Sir Herbert Walker. It's more malachite toned. Other than that all you need is a good set of photos. I don't think there's any physical modifications required.
The gaugemaster green is a better rendition of the original 1960s livery.

Thanks both for your replies, I have actually found the article as I suspected in the NGS journal issue 4/10 page 70

Sorry for missing that, a dud description in the index.
