Title: How many have suffered the friday 13th syndrome?
Post by: Oldman on July 13, 2012, 09:29:27 PM
Any one got caught out today
As I got out of bed this morning (not knowing the date) I managed to trap a nerve in my back. Now on painkillers .
Could have been worse - could have been caught out by the Blackberry problem, Nat West computer glitch and the O2 outage the last couple of days.
Fortunately only the O2 has caused me problems.

I agree with John and stick 2 fingers up to the Friday 13th superstition. As far as I can recall nothing untoward has ever happened to me on such a day.
There's still just over 2 hours to go, mind ???

I got home and found a love letter from my girlfriend stuck through my door.  They forecast rain, it didn't rain.  Went to departmental BBQ and no-one peer pressured me because I don't drink booze.  Cycled a long way and got all the things I need to start my layout tomorrow.

Unless my flat burns down in the next 2 hours 13/7 was actually a pretty good day!

As they say "So far, so good" Have a great next 2 hours ;)

Never had any problem with Fri 13th.

I did sit my History O level on Fri 13 (June?) in 1969.  But I passed comfortably.

Superstition it may be, but my phone clearly believes in it as it decided to screw up its SD card today.

I think it's trying to tell me to get off my backside and stick Cyanogen on it.

The Aussie State of Victoria had one of the worst bush fires in history in Friday 13th, I must admit I do drive especially careful as I had a nasty prang on Fri 13th a few years ago  (http://www.kolobok.us/smiles/artists/just_cuz/JC_racer.gif)

I had a nice easy day at work, and when my boss went out I decided to go to our workshop and cut up some MDF sheets to finish off the layout boards.  ;D  I also made a lift out bridge section.  They're all upstairs now, waiting for me to make some legs for the last part.  :)

My Friday the 13th was Wednesday when my garden flooded, so I was grateful for yesterday.  ;D

I'm always a bit weary of Friday the 13th after we had a monumental incident at work on the 13th of August 2010, where a suburban train was wrong routed in error, then went across 25kmph points at 55, nearly hit a track ganger and ran a red on the wrong line at the other end of the station and stopped face to face with another train. Still waiting for the TAIC report for that one...

Nothing bad happened to me but a lady I work with photocopied 200 documents all the wrong size, then dropped alot of stock smashing some bits then tripped over on the last step and turned her ankle. Not good for her!

Sounds like she is a walking disaster area and should be avoided at all costs, or sacked for wasting a rain forest, breaking stock - should come out of her wages and how does anyone trip on the last step, I mean she has had all the previous steps to practice on   :smiley-laughing:  :smiley-laughing:

compassionately yours - John.
