Completely random and non-railway-related thing, but I was in the YouTube rabbit hole watching an episode about then-and-now location shots of British music videos or promos from the 70's and 80's, and lo and behold, I see myself in a Human League video from 1982 where I was an extra.
I took the day off from the insurance office filing claims forms. I got paid ten pounds cash and a free lunch, and I met Phil Oakley. And a YouTube appearance 42-ish years later! :)
How much for your autograph? ;)

Don't be shy, tell us the song, not that we could identify you though
Were you adding your voice to the Sound of the Crowd? ;)
Hi Steve
In the interest of mass entertainment, I really think we deserve a direct link to the vid, no good dangling a teaser. :D :D
Blink and you'll miss it - at 0:14 I'm the guy on the left in the front row in the grey suit with the carnation buttonhole.
Wow - a Superstar in our midst's!
What a mullet!
Scrub the autograph request, please :D :D

Phil Oakey, if you please.
And now you're just another out of work actor in LA, living the dream :D

Dare is one of the most iconic albums of that decade and still stands as a groundbreaking record. The vid for Love Action is great, I think Jo and Susan probably couldn't believe their luck with landing the backing vocals and dancing role with Phil. From sixth-formers to international superstars in a year. Still gigging today, too.
I also have the 'League Unlimited Orchestra' version of 'Love and Dancing' (basically Dare with virtually no lyrics) and it just shows how powerful the tracks are musically
