Title: BH Enterprises
Post by: Bhenterprises on January 19, 2025, 05:18:14 PM
Hi,
Some of you guys and girls may know me I am Andrew Evans I am the late Ray Evans youngest son, I feel I should put something from the family.
Bob Tidbury has put in so many words to a post that we at BHE DON'T respond straight away to enquiry emails, my dad was never the quickest either, we don't have someone monitoring the web all the time. We do get informed of maters arising on social media and forums like this one.

Since our Dad died we are trying our best to keep on top of BHE along with day jobs and family lives. Please keep emailing us at bhengauge@gmail.com either myself or my brother or our family friend Martin will get back to you as soon as we can.

The Team at BHE look forward to seeing you at Alexandra Palace in March
Andrew

I for one very much appreciate what you are going through and appreciate your dedication in continuing the business as best you can.

Sadly there will always be those that cannot or will not understand the upset and confusion caused by berevement.

Keep up the good work you are able to do and it will be appreciated despite the "DOOM-MONGERS".

Beats wishes,

GE

Andrew
I have tried to explain why customers wont receive instant response to Emails as yo say in your post its very difficult to work shift work like you and help looking after your two girls and still run B H E .
I have only tried to explain why customers wont get an instant reply ,
and now you have posted yourself most people will understand ,I am sorry I  cant be as much help as I did for your Dad over the last 35 plus years but my back is very bad now and as you know I have to use a walker .
BUT I STILL DO MY BEST BY POINTING CUSTOMERS YOUR WAY ,
I hope to be able to see you all at Ally Pally again this year if only to keep an eye on the stand .I really miss helping on the stand at exhibitions and miss all the customers who had become friends over the years .
Regards
Bob

There were good days

I recall a time when Ray was in one location, Helen in another and he had also booked Chesham!.  He asked me if I could cover that one.  It was good fun and a pleasure to help.  One guy bought around £30 of track and associated bits - my biggest customer of the day, and I was able to offer advice from my own experience!   A few months later when I was assisting Ray, I saw him again. Recognising him I asked if he had laid the track yet.  From memory that was under way.  But he was touched I remembered him.  The pleasure of the hobby.

Yes Colin we did havevsome good days I helped Helen several times when Ray had double booked shows ,In particular I remember one show in Aylesbury where we were very busy and Helen and me took double what Ray and Andrew took but next year at the same show in Aylesbury me and Ray had a real bad day ,
The New Forrest show was always one of Rays favourite shows and the lady in the canteen used to spot me carrying stuff in and say Ok I have allready put your jacket  potato in the oven as she knew I like mine well done ,
Another show we both enjoyed was Conway as we would always have a trip up the Great Orme in Llandudno one evening we were just in time to get the last return tram and then  on Monday visit a narrow gauge railway on the way home .
Happy days never to be forgotten.
Bob Tidbury .
