Ok, I'll ask.
What's a Brawn?

Brawn Formula 1 Team.

Only competed as such for one season in 2009 but won the drivers championship with Jenson Button...
Formed by legendary ex Ferrari team manager Ross Brawn, from assets of the Honda team that folded the previous year, then morphed into the current Mercedes team for 2010 onwards.

And the Constructor's Championship, also with Rubens Barrichello coming third in the driver's championship.

Granted they were only racing as Brawn GP for one year, but they were still the first and, to date, only constructor with a 100% championship success rate.

I'm afraid I'd lost interest in F1 by then, despite having watched it for the previous 50 years. With one or two exceptions (Monaco, Spa) the circuits are all identikit these days, out of the same flat-pack with no individuality. Races are won or lost on a computer screen in the pits rather than on the track. Even my stepson, formerly an avid fan, has given up.

Does anybody else remember Raymond Baxter commentating, in a very laconic fashion? "...and Graham Hill has stopped out on the track. He seems to be counting the wheels..."

Cheers,

Chris

This is presumably the series which was on Disney+ earlier in the year. Hard to imagine they've done two documentaries in a year. It's worth a watch!

Indeed it is, the spiel about it mentions Keanu Reeves. One to find in iplayer later me thinks.

Evidently he (Reeves) hosts the programme and interviews many of the sportspeople in it

He does. Never realised he was an F1 fan. Undoubtedly a bit of a coup to try and woo the US audience, but he's a decent host. Proper Hollywood stuff as a story too!

Murray Walker & James Hunt combination when I started watching, and IMO not equalled since...

I watched it last night too, brought back great memories of one of the best seasons I've watched. Remember getting excited over the test times on the cars first outing, then hoping this car could bring Jenson his ist WDC!

I presumed this too.
I had a free pass to Disney plus at one point and this kept saying coming soon then never did before my freebie ended.
Be good to finally see it, have episode one recorded ready to go.

Still my favorite f1 result, love JB ??

Proper David and Goliath stuff, certainly, and the second half of the season once the other teams caught up was excellent!
