Title: Forum Recent Posts Location
Post by: cmason on April 29, 2024, 11:29:23 AM
Hi Admins,

I am pretty sure i have brough this up before, however now that the forum is stable it being a a while since moving, do you think "Recent Posts" might be moved back to the top of the front page as it was on the old page layout? (i.e. above the General Category) - it was rather useful in that position,

Cheers,

Colin.

Hi,

It's in the top right corner, just below the N Gauge Forum banner using Chrome on my laptop.

Are you using a phone to browse the forum?

Chrome on a PC - it was just rather neat before in that it was the first thing one saw when opening the page. No need to click or anything. Although I must admit I had not noticed that link - will try it,

Cheers,

@jpendle
Hi John,

And now I tried it - that link is not what I was looking for - the only way to get there seems to be scrolling down to the Info Centre at the bottom of the page,

Cheers,

Colin.

Got to admit the only search link I use is "All Unread"  which has been top right for as long as I can remember. It's ordered by most recent first so the first couple of pages is usually enough to catch up and choose what to read in more detail.

Yes, that works well. As a mod it brings up every post which is useful. But as Nick quite rightly says, they're in chronological order anyway.
