I think it is safe to say this is a tractor
I must be missing the discussion part :smiley-laughing:
cheers John.
Yes John it is indeed a tractor ;) but you havnt asked is it or isnt it real ?
100% real!!! ;D
I am not the gambling type but I would bet on that being a real photograph of a real tractor, the muck on the wheels is a good indicator as are the shadows from the glorious sunshine that we are not having here in the NE.
Thunder and lightning, very very frightning - here :smiley-laughing:
I'd have to say it looks so real it's a model.
Alex
Tank / John,

Exactly! anyone could do that in 1/16, smallest he does is 1/48, ruddy amateurs ::)
If I made that in 1/16 I'd make it fully working too and I mean on red diesel. Does this one work?
Despite the large scale the modeller's attention to detail
model is impressive. I noted that the original tractor
was from Danbury Mint, Is that the company that sells
cheesy figurines of Princess Di, Elvis plaques, and
other kitsch junk you see in the tv magazines ?
How about an n gauge Elvis singing "Love me tender drive"
I think it's fantastic!
I was following his thread when he was building the garage. Just astonishing work.
The tractor is up to standard and the degree of detail is wonderful at the scale he is doing.
Yes, Danbury mint sell all that kitsch stuff. Would not have occirred to me to look there for something to model. Having said that they do some aeroplanes, that might be wortha secong look now.
OK, I'm going to take up cross stitch as, until the later posts, I was certain that the tractor was 1:1 scale!
The only slight thing that threw me was that the wording on the sign behind it seemed to be reversed so I assumed that it was a negative/slide of the real thing that had been scanned the wrong way around.
However, major credit to the modeller concerned and 'note to self':- must try harder!
