Just found out in today's paper that Melanie Safka has died. Second only to Olivia Newton John as a heartthrob from my youth but Melanie was the better songwriter. IMHO her best songs were Candles in the Rain, Baby Day and Leftover Wine.

Too many good ones gone recently...

Her rendition of 'Ruby Tuesday' is far superior to the original IMHO
