Title: Photobucket Problems?
Post by: longbridge on June 19, 2012, 09:34:19 AM
Tried to log onto Photobucket this evening and got a message telling me to return to what I was doing, anyone else having problems  ??? ???

Just went to Tinypic which is also run by Photobucket, uploaded a photo OK but could not join Tinypic as the same Photobucket message appeared.

After going all round the houses because my bookmark doesn't seem to work I finally got to where I needed to reset my password(forgot it as usual).
Still waiting for the email to allow me to do this.
There was a message on the site to say I had 2 notifications so I clicked on it..big mistake,I got a pop up that said something about I could win an iPhone or something,I wouldn't click the okay button and I wasn't able to shut my browser down and had to do a force quit to shut it down.

I've noticed just lately that Photobucket always seemed to have a flashing pop up to tell me I'd won something.Maybe it's time to look for another photo hosting site.

Photobucket must lose so many potential users due to that awful pop up !!
Really annoying.

I've never had a pop up on there.  ???  I guess Norton stops it.

Only way to get rid of the annoying pop up is to pay a subscription fee that way you also get other goodies as well, don't know what they are because I have been using the free one since 2003.

Seems to be back to normal.
Though it was running slow earlier.

I only use the free one.
Don't get pop ups as I have the settings on my browser, safari, to stop them.
If you go 'pro' and pay for it you get more storage space I believe.
Maybe other goodies too like faster uploads or something.

I don't get pop ups either but there is a video advert that likes to poke its nose in every now and then, best way to beat that is to turn the volume off on your computer speakers, that way you don't have to listen to the garbage.
