Title: Coupling two Dapol Megafrets
Post by: NickLocke on June 16, 2012, 01:32:37 PM
This is going to be a real numpty question - sorry!

Two Dapol megafrets (the two pack of Eddie Stobart / Tesco ones actually).  The outer end of each one has a standard coupling - fine.

The inner ends have nothing apart from a couple of holes.  There's also a bag of plastic bits - circles joined by tiny strips of plastic, and what look like tiny little couplings.

Clues welcome, please.

Thanks,

Nick

And it's a right faff, particularly if you intend to regularly uncouple/recouple them!

The Farish intermodals have a far better solution!

Not so sure - the Farish ones will self uncouple now and then on things like uneven board joins, the Dapol ones don't.

Fair enough, not had that problem myself, and having a layout that is stowed away after use means that I've never actually used my full rake of Megafrets as I just can't be bothered!
