Title: 6 pan unit

Does anyone know if the pantry first carried any identification such as buffet or pantry on the side of the coach?

Douglas,

Only thing I can find is https://www.bloodandcustard.com/SR-6PAN.html (https://www.bloodandcustard.com/SR-6PAN.html) but there is a link to some phots on a smugmug site https://expresstrains.smugmug.com/ (https://expresstrains.smugmug.com/) that might help.

Cheers

Neal.

Thanks Neal, in fact I got the info from the David brown book on southern express emus the answer being, that they were not marked buffet or pantry at all. In southern days they were marked restaurant car around 1936 but this did not last for long. Hope all is well with you
