Title: Hoover Attachments
Post by: Phoenix on February 22, 2023, 07:19:49 PM
Hi All,

I got "Windmill Hill" out yesterday to show a friend, and did a little tidying up before they came round  ;)

Ages ago I bought a set of attachments that were recommended by someone on the forum, but never used them as they did not fit on my centuries old hoover  :(

However I recently got a new Miele vacuum cleaner and they fit fine.  :D

There is an adapter to fit a narrow tube to your hoover hose

And a selection of brushes and nozzles

I used the small brush, and it was great for getting into and around awkward spaces and tiny detailed areas without doing any damage.

Luckily everything was glued down firmly  ;)

Many thanks to whoever recommended it

I was hoping this was going to be about sourcing spare jumper sockets for Dapol 50s.  :(

Hey, I've got a Miele! Actually the same one that sucked up a Worthington beer wagon from my layout some time ago. Readers at the time may remember that I recovered it, but in hindsight should maybe have left it in the vacuum. I never used to like the stuff when I lived in the UK  ;)

Looks like a kit worth getting!

For 'Hoover' read 'Vacuum Cleaner' . I used to know someone whose father worked for Electrolux - purveyor of decent vacuum cleaners...

Actually for "Hoover" read "Hoover" as that is what I bought the attachments for

It is the "Miele" that is the vacuum cleaner  , although the "Hoover" is one as well  ;)

All in all a great bit of kit. I hope you won't be disappointed Mike.

Yikes what a sucker that Miele is George  :D :o :D

All best wishes

My kit due to arrive this afternoon.
I wonder if it'll fit the nozzle of the portable vacuum I used to take to shows - it's a decent bit of gear that I got from our IT department (they used to use it to clean out our big laser printer/copiers)

Hope it is ok for you Nick

I'm finding it pretty useful. There is a nozzle with a bit of a kink in it which gets into my tunnels, so along with my bit of track rubber on a stick, all bases are covered  :D

All best wishes

I thought that this thread would be about suitable coaching stock for CL50's  :bounce:

If you don't want to make Bezos even richer then this one on eBay is a little bit cheaper, and looks to be much the same.
