Title: Spare parts
Post by: Intercity on February 11, 2023, 09:32:12 PM
Has there been a change in the availability of spare parts from manufacturers? Dapol have done some re-releases as have Farish and upon looking at DCC Supplies it seems there is t much in the way of parts, the same applies on the Farish parts website, many of the commonly broken parts just don't seem to be available.

DCC Supplies are no longer the Dapol spares agent, that has passsed onto Peter's Spares.

Farish spares are available from Farish'n'Spares, the former BR lines;

https://www.farishnspares.co.uk/ (https://www.farishnspares.co.uk/)

which tend to be older Poole and early Chinese models, but he also has some for new models.

Peter's Spares have both Farish and are new agents for Dapol;

They also have spares for the Peco GWR 2251 loco.

While Bachmann also sell spares direct from their headquarters at Barwell;

True, although strangely the DCC website still allows you to order some spares for specific stock such as Carden shafts, as well as generic items like screws and loco to tender wires.
And the Dapol graded stock is always worth a glance......
