Arguably the backbone of Fleetwood Mac for many years (along with Mick Fleetwood) died today at the age of 79. I never realised she was quite that old to be honest. A fantastic vocalist and writer. RIP Chrissie x

I agree with all the above. I first heard and became aware of her when she was with 'Chicken Shack' in the 60s. I always preferred her voice to that of Stevie Nicks as Christine had a softer edge as opposed to the raw emotion often expressed by Stevie.
:(
Yes, been on the news all day here. I also remember her from Chicken Shack days. I think she was Christine Perfect in those days.
Another one gone. :(
Saw her in Maidenhead fronting Chicken Shack about 1967/8. Wonderful voice.
Just dug out all my Fleetwood Mac LP's - what a fantastic voice; she will be sadly missed.
Rumours was played and played until it wore out; I've still got the original LP, but CD purchased and saved on the JB7.
RIP Christine
I saw her with Chicken Shack in 68 or 69. They had just released "I'd rather go blind" A sad loss. The problem with getting old is that all my favourite musicians are disappearing. Still, if you consider the alternative!
