Obviously the retailer is your choice but I get newsletters from Rails.......

Interesting to see how the sand hoppers sell.

They were down to £8 each to get rid of the last ones, about three years ago.

Long after the sand hoppers were released (2013) I discovered they were used to shift sand (!) from Reigate and ran through Clapham to somewhere up north (I guess).
Hauled by 33s on the Southern.
I had to have some. So I got an odd number (11) at approx £10 each, in 2018. I thought I'd best not wait for another release.
Wise move. Now £22.90 each, 4 years later.

once again, I am totally underwhelmed by Farishes announcement. my wallet is for the moment happy, at least until Rapido and Sonic release the CoBo's, Conflat P's and J50's. come on Farish and Dapol, get your fingers out! I want to see maroon Thompsons and the long announced spam cans, and I bet that I am not alone now that I have said it.

Well I'm happy that the Castle Cement wagons have been re-released I need another 4 or so to go with the ones I have in a rake mixed with my Realtrack PCA's.  :)

Now maybe I'm being thick but those hoppers say Iron Ore not Sand. What am I missing?

Ironic.

The plain bauxite one is labelled "Max Speed 35mph". And in the second row of lettering "24T B437221   Sand".

I think the sand hoppers were also used on the Marks Tey-Mile End (GER line via Chelmsford) which is why I was interested in them first time around, but didn't get any.

Note the small print near the right had pillar.

And likely I won't be getting any this time around, either.

I would also probably like some maroon Thompsons, but as I have a few kit built and mk1 conversions, I'm in no hurry to spend my money.

Good to see the JPAs finally coming out. I had in mind they were intended to be weathered ones. I'm glad they're not, given how bad most of Farish's factory weathering is. Not that I need any. Shame they're not doing the Hanson ones Tarmac ones as they are in OO.

I guess Farish cannot please everyone all of the time, maybe even only a few at a time. With World War "Z" in progress I guess it may be yet another huge spanner in the works for worldwide supply chains and production.

As someone mentioed sand wagons have doubled in price in nine years. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't double in the next couple of years given the potential global disruption.

Kinda puts peoples WANTS into perspective when some people can't even get a roof over their heads or pay leckie bills

I would very much doubt that world events would have much bearing on what Dapol and Farish do, and do not as their focus would be on their own financial issues rather than anything else. as for people having difficulty feeding themselves and keeping a roof above their heads, perhaps a change of government to one more interested in people rather than corporate profits might be an advantage, but as long as the media is controlled by billionaires with an interest in keeping the status quo that is unlikely
