The last couple of days the forum has been extremely slow, particularly on the 'add ons' like PMs, N'Porium and pic gallerys.
No issues with other sites before anyone suggests it's this end.
slow here as well, but then I have [finally :-[ ] been trying to delete some of inbox and sent pm's to cut down on clutter.
Agree it has been slow on and off for the last two days, although doesn't help when some people post 30 to 40 Mb of photos in a single post
Yep, whoever's job it is to feed poor Hammy in his treadmill needs a boot up the jacksi
Seems fine for me, but it does seem to have slow moments at various times. We're due an update in a couple of weeks, so that may help.
There is a major upgrade in the next 6 months.

Shows how long he was waiting :smiley-laughing:
Just got a 404 error page not found, the next try which this is, took some time to load, as did this post update page.
The site's fine here fwiw.

Having just spent 3 days fixing my IMac after the latest OS upgrade (ie trying to remove the upgrade) , the phrase " major Upgrade " Fills me with horror!,
Working fine here...
Cheers,
Chris
still slow here, and just looked at Dunston works thread, 7 photos in the laters post, and too a whole minute to show them.

By way of comparison I did the same. They loaded straight away. Whatever the fault is, I don't think it is entirely down to the Forum.
Cheers,
Chris
To be honest I've not noticed any severe problems in recent weeks: all pages have loaded pretty much as I'd expect.
Some of the photos on Dunston do seem to be a bit larger resolution than is really necessary for a forum thread, the full screen versions are massive.
Since 09.00 this morning 17 posts read and 3 x 'Error - timed out' messages :unimpressed:
Had problems with reloading pages on my phone throughout the day here, but it seems to be belting along tonight on my laptop (8.50 pm, Aus time).
Still whizzing along here, Mick. I've just been back to the Dunston Works thread and the photos loaded straight away. Admittedly, I have just changed internet provider so I assume I now have a state of the art router, which might explain the difference. Is it worth contacting your ISP saying you are having problems? You might at the very least get a new router out of them.
Cheers,
Chris

Dunston loads almost immediately for me.
quite quick here today, but when I tried the Dunston Works thread, started to load, latest two posts, then locked up when it started to try to download the post with all the photos again. came up with a 'page unresponsive' report.
went back to show all unread posts, then to this thread and all ok.

I don't have issues with any other site, Chris. I'm quite happy with my BT fibre optic set up.
Varying for me - quite speedy at the moment, but took almost 45 seconds to go back one page earlier.

Hi Chris,
This is a website issue, not to do with anyone's ISP. To solve it is a huge task, and also expensive. As I have said previously, I'm hoping that a major update that SMF (the forum developers) will help us with that. However, it's still in testing, which lasts months!
