Title: Missing an 0-6-0ST in N gauge
Post by: ohlavache on October 14, 2021, 10:42:15 PM
I've seen today an update on Rapido Trains' 0-6-0ST project in OO gauge.
Any chance to get it in N gauge sooner or later? The "shrink ray" could be used...
Or an Austerity in N gauge maybe?
I suspect it would be popular.
Let's dream.

While I'm dreaming, 4-wheel coaches like those planned by Hattons would also be welcome.

Farish made a decent austerity for years and they regularly come up 2nd hand for reasonable prices. They also made a genetic 4 wheel coach in many liveries which, again, regularly come up 2nd hand but some liveries do come at a premium.

Indeed. I've owned a couple of them for years, and they're still two of my favourite locos, and run perfectly acceptably.

I bought a J94 off Etched Pixels years ago and it's still a great runner but, I agree, saddle tanks have been ignored by manufacturers in N.
