Well, I had a bit of a result on EBay from one seller. I managed to populate a small town for the princely sum of £27 including postage!

I managed to procure, left to right, top to bottom, 'People with pets', 'Ordinary people', 'Factory workers', 'Bystanders', 'Lumberjacks', 'Trackworkers'.
Yey!
Yer gonna need a lotta trees! :D

Ah, well, picked up 20 trees the other month, another bargain for £10!
Dunno about 'ordinary people'. Why is the one far left 'mooning'? :moony:
Oh, and now I've got "I'm a lumberjack and I'm OK...." as an earworm
Good price for that bunch :)
They can get expensive at retail prices but they are well produced figures. It's worth using a few of those packs for key scenes on the layout, and then just get a box of the cheaper Preiser unpainted figures and do those up yourself for the crowd scenes and background.
I use the really cheap ebay figures from China sometimes, they're not as detailed and they need a repaint in more realistic clothing but they add to the variations on the layout.
That's a really good price - £8.50 - 10 each at Rails, TMC etc.

Ha ha! Hadn't thought about that. I feel a tinlet of Humbrol 'Flesh' coming on. :D
I'm constantly on the lookout for cheap people, trees, animals and vehicles. I haven't got a use for a lot of them, but I'm in the 'get 'em when you can' camp.

And that, My Lord and members of the Jury, is precisely why I have so much stock. I rest my case :)
